A Language of Their Own
The story of the interconnecting lives and relationships of four men – three Asian and one Caucasian – in an intimate and honest look at the nature of love, desire, yearning and self-definition. Distilling the award-winning play to 100 minutes of intense narrative, it weaves together the evocative writing to a sensitive visual moodscape, in a solemn reflection on the beauty of love and its wonderful, inescapable scarring.
First produced in Singapore in 2006 by Checkpoint Theatre.

There was something inexpressibly light and graceful about this staging... the evocation of loneliness and longing so starkly simple that it almost took your breath away.

This show was bloody marvelous, with heart-rending performances, a minimalist staging that was subtle yet strongly moving, and a mind-blowing script... be prepared to be profoundly moved.
