FULLY SUBSCRIBED – Playwriting Masterclass: The Monologue
Checkpoint Theatre is offering a rigorous four-session playwriting masterclass for adults, focusing on the art of writing a single-performer play. Through personal one-on-one video-conference sessions with Huzir Sulaiman or Faith Ng, these classes will hone your distinctive writing voice and help you write your own monologue.
In each session, you will submit written pages of your script that will be critiqued in detail by your instructor. The personalised feedback and the insights gained from the sessions will allow you to write the play only you can write.
Sharpen your craft and create a work akin to powerful single-performer plays such as Still Life by Dana Lam, #UnicornMoment by Oon Shu An, A Good Death by Faith Ng, and The Weight of Silk on Skin by Huzir Sulaiman. All participants will retain the rights to their work.
