Checkpoint Theatre is holding auditions for πππ§π ππ€ππ, a new play written by Faith Ng and directed by Claire Wong, with dramaturgy by Huzir Sulaiman.
πππ§π ππ€ππ delves into the vivid lives of a group of teenagers growing up together in the same neighbourhood. As they experience vastly different life stages, the shared spell of their childhood world breaks, and they are forced to confront the complexities of love, family, friendship, grief and letting go.
Actors should have the ability to deliver nuanced and naturalistic performances, speaking complex text in English and Singlish. They should have a comfort with and aptitude for contemporary physical and vocal performance techniques.

AUDITION DETAILS
We are looking for actors of all genders and ethnicities who can play an age range of 14 to 25 years old for the following roles:
– ADAM, 1/3 of the Sengkang Squad: Introspective, honest and loyal, he has trouble interacting with girls, and is perpetually awkward.
– XY, 1/3 of the Sengkang Squad: Booksmart and an overachiever, he has his wits togetherβ¦ most of the time, and is often helping his friends out of the chaotic situations they put themselves in.
– BRIAN, 1/3 of the Sengkang Squad: A spontaneous class clown, he enjoys joking around and putting a smile on peopleβs faces. What happens when the joke is on him?
– ARISSA, Adamβs older sister: A passionate K-pop and anime lover, she is sharp-witted and independent. She has recently started questioning her identity.
– MAYA, Adam and Arissaβs neighbour: A true introvert who enjoys being alone, she is a fellow K-pop stan. A quiet observer, she often knows more about the people around her than she lets on.

Each monologue should be under three minutes in length:
- One serious, and the other comedic
- Singapore texts are strongly preferred
